  The food was good, but the service was a rip off. We ordered 6 meals and drinks (they were all under $10) totaling $74 and when the food came, they said we only ordered 5 meals. They didn't give us a receipt, so we had to pay for another meal. I wonder if they do this to all their tourists. Won't go there again!!!

  Food was fine but unremarkable. Good size portions but feels a bit pre made (square hash brown patty felt like designed for the toaster). No service past the counter where you order and pickup, which is fine, but you feel like you are the only one who wants to be there. A better attitude would have improved the experience significantly.

  This restaurant is the real Hanalei, one of the last old-timey places on the North Shore. Friendly local staff and several plate lunch specials every day. Prices are quite reasonable especially for Hawaii. Good basic breakfasts, sandwich menu plus the Hawaiian style plate specials for lunch. (as in macaroni salad is always on the menu as a choice for one of your veggies). Good burgers and fries. Excellent pies baked fresh daily. Try the Lillikoi chiffon pie if they happen to have it while you're there. Open 7 AM to 2:30. It's where the locals eat foh shuh. Definitely a Da Kine place with good food, good prices and lots of heart.
